    I love that I had already been a user of some of your remedies and will try out the others if needed in the future. There is one though I was wondering if you knew of a way to get rid of cold sores sooner and with less pain? The only one that I had come up with was putting a small ice pack on it for 20 minutes on and 10 minutes off for an hour and a half. It takes the fever out of it and causes it to not hurt for the time but after it warms up it starts hurting again. It does go away after a week instead of the usual 2 weeks. I am not always near ice to make a pack, so I wondered if there was an essential oil or something that I could make up and carry with me when I have a flare up? I am looking forward to hearing back from you, thank you.

      Hi Joyce,

      I am sorry to hear about your husband’s pain-it sounds dreadful. I would visit the doctor first to find out what is causing it to rule out anything serious. Especially if it is severe. You don’t have to take their advice, but I think it’s important you find out what it is all about before trying home remedies-you don’t want to make it worse on accident.

      If you do know, where does the pain originate from? Is it from an old injury, a fall, is it in the hip joint itself? If the latter is the case, there will be an arthritis and joint pain list posted here shortly (it will be announced on facebook as well). Is it constant, or sporadic? The cause of the pain will determine how it can be helped/treated. One thing he could try would be taking turmeric capsules/supplements to help with the pain, otherwise ice and doing special hip exercises/stretches can help. There are also pain relieving creams and salves that you can try. You should only try these after figuring out where the problem lies-otherwise there’s always the risk of doing more harm than good.

      I wish I could give you more advice but I am really not a doctor, and again, suggest you see one before trying anything at home. I hope he feels better soon, and let me know if you have anymore questions.

    I just hopped over to facebook to ‘like’ your page, and I noticed you had shared several ‘health’ related articles (wart remedies, bad breath remedies, etc) that are not listed on this page? Is this page on your site new so not all articles are referenced/organized yet? I would love to see all the health-related articles you have linked here- it would be SUCH a tremendous resource! Of course I understand this may take a lot of work to go through and link to older articles, but it would be a blessing to all of us searching online for answers ;). Also, I noticed that you haven’t responded to the comments/questions above, is there a reason for this?

I am still new to the whole blogging thing and have a tendency to check out my individual posts more often. I do wish I could answer everyone (here and on our facebook page) but being the only writer behind all of this it’s not possible-unless I stopped writing articles 😉
